My club is the Cowboys, and the last thing we needed was our origin players missing this year.

scooby, I agree. having our star players out for a critical game sucks. all games are critical, take the premiership ladder at the moment... The cowboys are having to work on their for and against just to make the top eight. if we win an extra game during origin time, we are 2 points ahead of the 3 teams fighting for 8th spot!

I agree clubs like the Broncos and Cowboys suffer, however players normally depart on the Monday and train for about 10 days before the following wednesday. If we did not have club games we would have to have 2 weeks of NO NRL games. I don't think I and most men could survive without footy.
